We are delighted to announce the Gocad Winter Meeting to be held in Doha, Qatar, December 6th in conjunction with the International Petroleum Technology Conference. which starts on December 7th.

This meeting will start with an overview of the Gocad Research Consortium at Nancy University in France, whose research aims at defining new approaches to effectively build and update 3D subsurface models while accounting for available data and knowledge. This presentation will cover the strategy of the Gocad Research Consortium, its relationship with Paradigm (the vendor of the Gocad software created by the Gocad Consortium during the early nineties), and how it works at providing all members not only with ideas but also with deliverables and collaborations which can be used to address reservoir modeling challenges and maximize exploration and field management success.

Then, technical presentations showcasing advances in the field of integrated 3D reservoir modeling will be made by the members of the Research Group. Topics will cover new generation structural modeling and updating, chronostratigraphic and facies modeling, stochastic well correlation, fractured reservoir modeling and uncertainty visualization.

 T
his meeting will be kindly hosted by Olivier Dubrule (a former Gocad Consortium Chairman) at the "Total Research Center - Qatar (TRC-Q)" located at the Qatar Science and Technology Park in Doha, Qatar.

Exceptionally, the attendance to the Gocad Winter Meeting in Doha will be open to both members and non-members of the Gocad Research Consortium (though copies of the technical presentations will be restricted to members of the Gocad Consortium).

If you would like to attend, please register as soon as possible and before November 25th.
