Prospective Student Information
Foreign students with background in geology, or engineering are welcome to join the Nancy School of Geology at the INPL (bachelor and masters levels, click here for more details).
Part of the School's academic program is dedicated to 3D modeling of Geological objects and Geostatistics. Both topics are considered from the perspective of the practitioner through classes with the geomodeling software Gocad, and from a theoretical perspective.
The Gocad Research Group at the INPL is also seeking for PhD candidates with a solid background in object-oriented programming and two or more of the following disciplines:
- numerical geology,
- geophysics,
- sedimentology,
- structural geology,
- reservoir engineering,
- geostatistics,
- (geo)mathematics,
- metallogeny,
- Computer graphics and image processing.
